Privacy Policy

The Short Version

The BookmarkWizard extension collects nothing about you. Everything it stores — your settings, which bookmark folders you keep open, and your license key — lives in Chrome's extension storage on your own device (or in your Google account if you enable Chrome sync), is never transmitted to us, and is deleted when you delete it or uninstall the extension. This website uses privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics and handles whatever you choose to send us through the contact form.

What the Extension Stores

BookmarkWizard stores your settings, which bookmark folders you keep open, and your license key using Chrome's local storage and sync storage APIs. This data:

• Remains on your device (local storage) or within your Google account (sync storage, if you enable it)
• Is never transmitted to our servers — the extension makes no data-collection requests
• Can be deleted at any time by removing it in the extension or uninstalling the extension

What the Extension Never Collects

• Personal identification information
• Browsing history or activity
• The content of websites you visit
• Analytics or usage tracking data
• Any data on remote servers

Permissions

The extension requests only the Chrome permissions it needs to do its job, and uses them solely for the features you invoke. It does not read, collect, or transmit page content beyond what the feature you are using requires, and nothing is retained beyond the data described above.

This Website

The bookmarkwizard.app website is served by Cloudflare, which receives standard web request metadata (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. For analytics we use self-hosted, cookieless Plausible Analytics — aggregate page counts only, no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal identifiers, and nothing shared with ad networks.

The Contact Form

When you send a message through our contact form, it is verified by Cloudflare Turnstile and delivered to our inbox. We use what you send solely to respond to you; nothing is stored on our servers beyond delivering the message.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Checkout happens on Stripe's hosted pages: your payment card details go directly to Stripe and are never collected, seen, or retained by us. Stripe's handling of your information is described in its own privacy policy.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information. The only third parties involved are the service providers named on this page, each used solely to operate the service described.

Children's Privacy

BookmarkWizard does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13 years of age.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time; material changes are reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
